D.I.Y. Sleep sack

With the cost of equipment going up all the time here is an inexpensive way to secure your subject with out making a large dent in your wallet.

Equipment Required

1. Black Rubble Sacks
2. Roll of Gaffer Tape
3. Pair of Safety Scissors

Step 1.
Take one sack and cut off the closed end.

Step 2.
Take a 2nd rubble sack and join the open end to the cut end of the 1st sack using the gaffer tape.

Step 3.
Have your subject step in to the rubble sacks with the joined end on the ground.

Step 4.
Take the 3rd rubble sack and cut a hole large enough in the joined end for the head of your subject to go through.

Step 5.
Place the 3rd sack over the head of your subject and bring down over the body and tape to the lower sacks.

Step 6.
Whilst your subject is still standing, secure the lower part of the body by folding the excess bag around the legs and taping with the gaffer tape around the ankles, knees and waist making sure that the subject is properly supported.

Once the legs have been taped, fold in any excess bag around the body and also secure with gaffer tape.

Step 7.
Unless you have secured your subject to a fixed post, carefully lower your subject to the bed or floor ensuring that you support your subjects head.

This is best done by two people.


Safety Issues

1. Your subject will get very hot and sweat a lot in these bags. Ensure plenty of water (not alcohol) is drunk .
2. Once the feet are secured your subject will need to be supported when being moved.
3. Use safety scissors when cutting the bag at all times.

When cutting your subject out of the sack use safety scissors placing your hands between the scissors and your subject.


After Care

Once your subject has been released from the bag your subject will feel the cold, may be dehydrated and will be damp from sweating.

Ensure you have the following available:-
1. Some water (not alcohol) for your subject to drink .
2. Towel to dry the body.
3. Something to keep your subject warm.
